5 Gharelu Nuskhe to treat Dandruff

What is Dandruff:

With start of winter season dandruff problem start increasing. Dandruff is actually a common scalp problem. In this problem, something like a white colored crust starts falling from the head. Actually it is our dead skin. Dandruff can happen to people of any age, sometimes even newborns suffer from this problem. However, most of the men with oily skin are in trouble by this problem.

Main Causes of Dandruff:

01) Dry skin:

The most common cause of dandruff is dry skin, especially in winters. If the pieces of flakes visible on the shoulder are small and not oily, or if you have dry skin on other parts of the body, then this can also be a reason for dandruff.

02) Using not enough Shampoo:

If the hair is not washed regularly, oil and skin cells start growing in the head. These cells later start falling out in the form of dandruff. To get healthy hair, it is necessary that we keep cleaning the hair regularly.

03) Hair Products:

Many times different types of ingredients are used in hair care products. It is possible that some of these products can make your skin sensitive, or increase the problem of itching and dry scalp. If the scalp or head skin becomes dry then the problem of dandruff can increase.

04) Seborrheic Dermatitis:

This is a type of dandruff, which mostly happens to people with oily skin. In this dandruff, the crust is sticky, white or yellow in color. While the scalp often turns red. There is itching in the head intermittently. Later, this dandruff may increase in the nose, brows, behind the ears, between the thighs and sometimes in the underarms. If this problem occurs, a doctor should be consulted immediately.

05) Malessezia:

This is a fungus like yeast which is mostly found in all of us. But sometimes its growth gets out of control. This problem is also mostly found in people with oily skin. Due to this problem, there is itching in the head, due to which the skin cells in the head start growing rapidly and the amount of flaking from the head also increases.

06) Eczema & Psoriasis:

Some common skin problems and diseases can also cause dandruff problem at times. Skin problems such as eczema and psoriasis are prominent among these diseases. Apart from these two diseases, people can also get dandruff due to some diseases like Parkinson's.

Home Remedies For Dandruff:

Dandruff is a common problem, but it makes us uncomfortable at times and its treatment is also difficult. Dandruff is not related to hygiene, but regular washing and brushing of hair can remove dead skin from the scalp. Along with this work, if some home remedies are also adopted, then it will be a matter of icing on the cake.

01) Neem Leaves:

Neem is a natural antiseptic. It has also been used for thousands of years to deal with hair problems. Boil neem leaves in water if there is a problem of dandruff. Later grind the leaves and make a thick paste. Keep this paste on the head for 10 minutes. Later wash the head with water.

Expert Tip: After boiling neem leaves, save the remaining water. You can use this water to wash your hair after shampooing.

02) Curd:

Apply old and sour curd or whey all over your head. Leave on for at least 10 minutes (preferably at least 30 minutes). Later wash the head with water.

Yogurt is actually a good source of lactose and protein. When applied to the hair, curd not only deeply nourishes the hair but also helps in protecting it from dandruff. The main reason for the problem of dandruff is the dry skin under the hair. Curd nourishes the scalp so much that the problem of dry skin is almost over.

03) Lemon juice + Coconut oil

Take coconut oil and heat it. Mix equal amount of lemon juice in lukewarm coconut oil. Apply this mixture well in the roots of the hair. Keep it for 10 minutes or overnight and wash your hair thoroughly with a mild shampoo in the morning.

Lauric acid is found in coconut oil. This acid nourishes the hair roots by going under the scalp with the help of hair fibers. In addition, lemon helps maintain the pH level of the scalp. Extra sebum deposited on the scalp can also be removed using lemon.

04) Baking Soda:

Wash your head. After this, rub one table spoon of baking soda thoroughly all over the head. Leave it on the head for a minute and then wash it off.

05) Henna + Tea Liquor + Lemon Juice

Boil one table spoon of tea leaves in one and a half cup of water. Later, when one cup is left, filter it. Mix henna powder and two spoons of lemon juice in this water. Make a thick paste. Apply this paste on your scalp and hair. Leave it on for at least 10 minutes or overnight. Wash off this paste with mild shampoo in the morning.
